The unspoken taboo, the elephant in the room…. A wig. My how times have changed! Even the Kardashians have embraced this new revolution! Wigs have been the old tried and true go to, when it comes to enhancing beauty or even religion for that matter. So why do people react so negatively when it comes to admitting the truth?
Some women choose to wear wigs for a multitude of reasons, with the biggest one being hair loss. What do we do when we lose our hair? Or suffer from thinning hair, alopecia or the chemotherapy treatment? Many women have suffered through hair loss without even exploring this option due to the stigma of someone asking them! Well ladies, times have changed and for the better may I add.
Maybe you want a drastic change but don’t have the guts to make that jump? You don’t need to; wigs have evolved into an almost accessory. You can have the color, texture, style and thickness you desire at a price point that you can choose. The options are endless, synthetic hair is a fabulous option with a HUGE selection of brands, colors, textures and styles for all complexions. This is a perfect option for those who are on a budget; want a great look for an affordable price with many options to choose from. With the evolution of the “lace front” detection is virtually impossible if you learn to apply your unit properly.
A good quality synthetic unit will run you about $ 70-$90.00 US but with proper care can last you a few weeks to a few months depending on how often you wear it.
Human hair is also a reasonable and luxurious option with an array of selection and hair textures anywhere from Indian to Malaysian, Peruvian to Brazilian. African kinky to straight, it’s amazing! Any length, density is at your fingertips if you know how to get what you are looking for. Color is not such an easy option though; you may need to color it yourself or pay hefty prices for specific colors. This option however, gives you the ultimate look of your own head of hair, parting space and more versatility. A well- made unit can last up to 1 year with proper care.
Price can vary, depending on length, quality of hair, density etc. Don’t be fooled by high end salons or treatment centres that convince you that a unit will cost you $ 800-1200, that is ludicrous!
Find someone you trust that can help you make the right decision and by making proper choices you can achieve your beautiful look in Human hair anywhere from $350-$600 US, depending on wants and needs. The price will inflate if you are wanting waist long thick curly Beyoncé hair!
