I have to admit that it’s hard to think of spring when there is still lots of snow in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.
Over the last month I notice that we seemed to have more cat hair everywhere, even though I am brushing them all the time. I realize that my house will never be fur free with three long haired Maine Coons but there was more hair than usual. So I have been a woman on a mission to figure out what is going on.
I empty the lint trap every time I do laundry but my husband doesn’t, so I asked if he wouldn’t mind cleaning the lint trap and exhaust that goes outside. He was nice enough to check them for me but there wasn’t much fur. One day when my husband was vacuuming (Dyson) I noticed that he doesn’t empty the vacuum until it was really full. I found the instruction for the vacuum to see if there was something else we needed to do. I asked my husband if he was washing out the two filters and he said he was washing one and he didn’t even know about the other one. Once we figured out where the other one was, we started washing the filters (It sure needed a cleaning) and let them dry. The next day we put the filters back and started up the vacuum and the suction was much better but I still noticed that there was still lots of fur.
I was looking at a flyer and I noticed an ad for the Furminator and decided to give it a try. It’s amazing, the amount of fur that came out was shocking. If you have a pet or pets with long hair that shed you need this brush! In the picture this is the amount of fur I brushed off two of my cats in two brushing.
